ASTANA, March 18 (RIA Novosti) - Seven people were killed and 20 injured in a bus crash in Kazakhstan on Tuesday, the emergencies ministry said.

The accident occurred early in the morning when a bus carrying 90 passengers from Chimkent to Astana overturned.

"The victims are being identified," the ministry said in a statement.

On Saturday evening in the Central Asian country's Almaty Region, a man attempted to drive a truck across an ice-covered lake. The ice broke and the vehicle sunk, killing the driver and three passengers. Their bodies have been pulled out of the water, and work to lift the vehicle is ongoing, the ministry said.
