ASTANA, July 21 (RIA Novosti) - Ten Kazakh nationals were killed and 32 others injured in a bus crash overnight in Kyrgyzstan, the Kazakh emergency situations minister said on Monday.
The driver of a bus carrying 49 Kazakh tourists swerved into an oncoming lane and crashed into a Mercedes at 00.15 a.m. local time on Monday (20.15 GMT Sunday). The bus was reported to have been travelling well over the speed limit at the time of the accident.
Vladimir Bozhko said eight of the passengers died at the scene of the crash. Two more died on their way to hospital.
The minister added that the condition of the injured passengers, including a number of children, was critical.
A criminal investigation has been launched into the accident.
