Serbian paper prints photo of Karadzic without beard, long hair
Topic: Karadzic is arrested
The photo of the former Bosnian Serb leader, printed in the Blic daily, was apparently taken in a Belgrade jail before he was extradited to The Hague on Wednesday for trial on war crimes and genocide charges.
The former president's lawyer Svetozar Vujacic and younger brother, Luka, who visited him in the prison cell, said he had asked for a barber several days after his arrest.
Karadzic, who official reports said was arrested in Belgrade on July 21, had been on the run for over a decade. He is expected to appear in the UN war crimes tribunal on Thursday.
Karadzic, 63, will be tried for his role in the 1992-95 Bosnia war, including the massacre of 8,000 Bosnian Muslims at Srebrenica in 1995 and the siege of Sarajevo, during which 10,000 people died.
