WASHINGTON, August 1 (RIA Novosti) - A small plane has crashed in the U.S. state of Minnesota, killing eight people, local officials said.
The Raytheon Hawker 800, flying from Atlantic City, New Jersey, to Owatonna, went down Thursday as it was preparing to land at a regional airport.
The plane was carrying nine people, including several casino and construction executives and two pilots.
Seven people were killed at the scene, and another person died later at a hospital. The last passenger has been unaccounted for, Sheriff Gary Ringhofer said.
Preliminary reports said that the accident might have been the result of poor weather conditions.
