Autopsy says Russian woman's death in Spain not suspicious

MADRID, August 6 (RIA Novosti) - A Russian woman reportedly murdered by her Spanish husband died of natural causes, according to an autopsy report, Spain's Vanguardia online edition said, adding that her husband has been released from custody.

The body of the as-yet-unnamed woman, 24, was found early Monday in an apartment in Barcelona, where she lived with her 27-year-old husband, Rafael, Spanish National Radio reported.

Media reports said on Monday that Rafael had called the police himself "to inform them of the killing" at 05:00.

According to official statistics, 74 women were killed by their husbands or former lovers in Spain last year.
