Abbas will meet with Lebanese President Michel Suleiman, Prime Minister Fuad Siniora and parliament speaker Nabih Berri, as well as with Palestinian officials working in Lebanon.
Some media have suggested that the talks could focus on the situation in the 12 Palestinian refugee camps, which house about 400,000 Palestinians.
The camps enjoy internal autonomy but have recently become a source of instability in Lebanon.
Last year, a conflict between the Lebanese Army and radical Islamist group Fatah al-Islam lasted for more than three months, claiming the lives of 168 Lebanese soldiers and 220 militants. Some 200 militants were detained.
Frequent clashes between rival Palestinian groups in other camps in recent months have raised fears of renewed violence.
The Lebanese authorities have heightened security measures for the duration of Abbas' visit to the country.
