TEHRAN, September 12 (RIA Novosti) - A passenger bus skidded off a bridge into a river near the Iranian capital of Tehran early on Friday, leaving at least 12 people dead, Iranian media reported.
Another seven people were injured. The cause of the crash is currently being investigated.
Exact details on the number of people in the bus at the time of the accident are at present unavailable.
Around 30,000 people die in traffic accidents in Iran every year.
