The collision occurred in the Sinai peninsula near the Red Sea resort of Ras Sadr. The bus was en route from Sharm el-Sheikh on to Cairo for a daytrip.
All four Egyptians in the truck died, as well as the coach driver and Egyptian policeman accompanying the tourists.
Egypt's Mena news agency said another 34 tourists were injured in the crash.
A Sharm el-Sheikh medical official said the six tourists included citizens from the Netherlands, Ukraine, and Russia, but did not give specific numbers.
Mena quoted an official saying that most of the injured people have been taken to hospital in Sharm el-Sheikh. The most severely injured tourists have been taken to Suez.
An official at the Suez hospital where they are being treated told RIA Novosti: "seven people have been admitted to the hospital, of whom two are Russians."
He said the condition of Russian patients was critical.
