MOSCOW, November 5 (RIA Novosti) - President Dmitry Medvedev expressed his hope in his state of the nation address on Wednesday that the new U.S. administration will choose full-fledged relations with Russia.
"We have no problems with the American nation, we have no inbred anti-Americanism. We hope our partners, the new United States administration, will make a choice in favor of full-fledged relations with Russia," Medvedev told the Federal Assembly.
Democrat Barack Obama won Tuesday's presidential election to become the first black president in U.S. history.
Obama will become the 44th president of the United States when he takes office in January.
