GAZA/TEL AVIV, November 26 (RIA Novosti) - Israeli authorities let humanitarian aid and fuel pass three border crossings into Gaza on Wednesday despite continuing rocket fire from the Hamas-controlled territory.
Israel reclosed border crossings with the Palestinian enclave on November 18, citing ongoing militant rocket attacks. The move came a day after it had opened a border crossing for the first time in two weeks, allowing in about 30 truckloads of food and medicine and a limited amount of diesel fuel.
The decision to reclose the border came despite aid groups' warnings of looming food and fuel shortages.
Palestinian rocket attacks and retaliatory Israeli strikes have broken a five-month truce brokered by Egypt in June.
