TEL AVIV, July 17 (RIA Novosti) - Palestinian militants based in the Gaza Strip fired rockets at Israel for the first time in just over a month, the Israeli military has said.
The rockets fell in wasteland and caused no damage.
The attack, which happened on Thursday, was the first since June 13.
Palestinian militants have launched over 200 rockets at south Israel since the end of an Israeli military operation in Gaza in December/January.
The Israeli offensive took the lives of up to 1,400 Palestinians, many of them civilians, and left some 50,000 homeless. The attack was launched in response to the firing of rockets at southern Israeli border towns by Palestinian militants.
