Iran's nuclear achievements will force its enemies to capitulate, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Friday.

"Iran's achievements in the nuclear sphere are so great that the enemies of the country will not be able to hinder this progress," he said addressing a group of students.

Commenting on the recent assassination of an Iranian nuclear physicist, the president said he was a role model for the country's young people to emulate in their fight against the Islamic Republic's enemies.

Dr. Massoud Ali-Mohammadi, reportedly linked to Iran's nuclear program, was killed in a bomb attack in Tehran on Tuesday.

Ahmadinejad said Ali-Mohammadi was engaged in critical research, and that the country's enemies wanted to impede Iran's progress by removing him.

However, he stressed, Iran "will never allow arrogant powers to realize their goal of dominating the Middle East."

The Iran Six, comprising Britain, China, France, Germany, Russia and the United States, have been trying to persuade Tehran to halt uranium enrichment it says it needs for electricity generation for economic and diplomatic incentives.
