Chinese leader Hu Jintao expects Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's visit to China in September will boost bilateral relations, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Sunday.
The leaders of both countries met at the G-20 summit of developed and leading developing economies in Toronto, Canada, to discuss the issue of denuclearization of the Korean peninsula, the Iran controversial nuclear program, the situation in the Middle East and other topical international issues.
During the meeting, the Chinese leader said he was meeting with Medvedev for the fourth time this year, which was "an important contribution to strengthening cooperation in all spheres between the two countries."
In turn, Medvedev said that regular contacts between the top leaders of both countries demonstrated in full the high level of strategic partnership relations between the two countries.
