Brazilians are voting on Sunday in a presidential runoff to choose the country's new president who will succeed Brazil's popular Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
The ruling Workers Party candidate Dilma Rousseff who enjoys full support of President Silva has a clear lead over her rival Jose Serra from the opposition Social Democratic Party, opinion polls suggest.
Rousseff, who gained 46.91% of the electors' votes during the first round of the presidential election in Brazil on October 3, will become Brazil's first female president, if she wins the runoff.
Silva was first elected as Brazil's president in 2002 and was re-elected in 2006. Under the Brazilian Constitution, the country's president is elected to a four-year term, with a limit of two terms.
