A spontaneous demonstration against Egyptian soldiers who are trying to force a path for traffic to start flowing through Cairo's Tahrir Square, broke out in Sunday, a RIA Novosti correspondent reported.

For 18 days Tahrir Square was the epicenter of the nationwide protests demanding the resignation of President Hosni Mubarak, 82, who ruled Egypt for almost 30 years. On Friday, Mubarak stepped down and handed the power to the country's Higher Military Council.

On Saturday, military started shoving protesters aside and taking down their makeshift tents, there is some pushing and shoving, but the process is running generally peacefully.

"The Army is the basis of Egypt! Your objective is not to push us aside, but fulfill our demands! Otherwise, we will return," protestors are chanting when the military take efforts to disperse them.

The main accusations against Mubarak are that his regime fostered poverty, autocracy and large-scale corruption. The main goal of Egypt's revolution was to replace Mubarak's regime with a true democracy.
