An explosion in north-western Pakistan destroyed at least 16 containers delivering fuel for NATO forces in neighboring Afghanistan, Pakistani TV channel Geo TV reported on Sunday.
The blast occurred on Saturday at a terminal near the northwestern city of Peshawar where 28 NATO fuel tanks were staying, local policeman Khurshid Khan told the TV channel.
"Sixteen fuel tanks have been completely destroyed," the policeman said, adding that there were no human casualties after the explosion and the ensuing fire.
Pakistan accounts for over 70% of transit supplies for the NATO-led coalition, which is fighting radical militant Taliban in neighboring Afghanistan.
