A Georgian businessman has announced his intention to run for Georgian president in 2013.
Moscow-based Levon Vasadze said there is "no other choice for you when you see a humiliated country," the News Georgia website reported. "Our authorities have gone so far as to give our churches away to our historic foes."
"I must spearhead my orthodox people," Vasadze said.
Vasadze, the former head of the Russian insurance firm Rosno, worked with former Georgian President Eduard Shevarnadze in the early 1990s.
