At least 11 people were killed and six injured after a Brazilian passenger bus crashed falling into a ravine some 60 km to the north of Rio-de-Janeiro, local media reported citing traffic police.
The bus carrying some 30 passengers was en route from Rio-de-Janeiro to Teresopolis, when the driver lost control of the vehicle and it crashed in a mountainous area near the city of Guapimirim.
Eleven people were reported to have died at the scene of the crash. Rescuers continue clearing the debris, while investigators establish the cause of the tragic accident.
