WARSAW, January 25 (RIA Novosti) - Almost 400 trains were delayed in Poland on Friday by a two-hour strike by Polish railway workers, the state railway company PKP said.

The strike, prompted by PKP and Transport Ministry’s plans to cut bonuses for rail employees and retirees, began at 7:00 a.m. local time [6:00 GMT]. Several round of talks between rail workers and trade unions have produced no result.

Trains were delayed for about two hours at some stations, though the average delay was 20-40 minutes. Both intercity and suburban trains were affected.

“Major railway junctions and stations were blocked, such as Warsaw, Krakow, Katowice, Sosnowiec, Wroclaw, Poznan, Lublin, Czestochowa,” PKP said in a statement.
