Madonna’s fans in Israel have asked the government not to launch any airstrikes against Iran until after the pop diva’s concert in Tel Aviv on May 29, Haaretz reported.
In a newly opened Facebook page, fans of the “Queen of Pop” fear that the U.S. megastar will cancel her scheduled performance for political reasons if Iran is bombed over its controversial nuclear program.
“Bibi don't start a war with Iran until after Madonna's show on May 29,” the Facebook group says, using the nickname for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Their fears may not be unfounded: other performers have canceled performances in Israel in the past, including Depeche Mode in 2006 due to what is known as the Second Lebanon War and the Red Hot Chili Peppers in 2001 during the Second Intifada.
