Iran to accept Russia's uranium offer, if complemented - official

13:55 19/02/2006

TEHRAN, February 19 (RIA Novosti) - Iran will accept Russia's proposal to set up a joint venture for uranium enrichment, if the offer is complemented and improved, the Iranian foreign minister said Sunday.

Manushehr Mottaki said Iran would consider Russia's offer as meeting Iran's national interests, if the Russian initiative was complemented and improved during the negotiations to become a comprehensive plan.

Talks on the Russian initiative, which the global community hopes will help resolve the conflict over Iran's nuclear enrichment program, will take place in Moscow February 20.
